colon cancer can be life threatening

Colon cancer is a major concern today especially for those of us over fifty years .
 There is much written about it lately so you have plenty of resources at your disposal.

Here we briefly review some of the things to consider if you are concerned .
 Please note that your best resource if you have any concern your doctor.

Although colon cancer can be life-threatening , this cancer has a good survival rate if caught early , so stay tuned

 Make sure to have regular checkups and be prescribed.

What to look for :

· There has been no change in bowel habits ? An isolated may not be important, but if things have changed enough to realize , then you should check with a doctor.

· A developed diarrhea which can be explained by diet or disease ?

· Developed constipation for unknown reasons ?

· Do you feel like when you move your bowels have not completely emptied ?

· Bleeding ? The blood may appear bright or dark red.

· Any pain in the abdomen ?

· Bloating ?

· Cramps ?

· Vomiting ?

· Have you lost weight without trying ?

· Do you feel more tired these days ?

These symptoms do not mean that you have cancer , do not let your imagination into overdrive . Take note and if they are not a one time thing , or concerns, then get yourself to the doctor's office.

The signs and symptoms of colon cancer do appear over time .

 In other words, it is possible that the disease long before you notice changes. So if you have any questions or concerns, get yourself tested .

Prevention of colon cancer

Studies on how to prevent colon cancer are underway, but what we do know is that there are certain risk factors for cancer. If you recognize yourself as one of these risk factors , and then solve them. Be careful to get regular checkups.

· Are you over 40 ? There is nothing you can do about your age , but keep in mind that age is a factor.

· Being overweight and not exercising so much? The experts seem to believe that obesity and lack of exercise can contribute to cancer development .

· Do you smoke ? Smoking is a risk factor for many diseases, including colon cancer if it is another reason to quit smoking now .

· Alcohol . Alcohol consumption may be a risk factor that contributes to stress .

Your health is of paramount importance . Do not take lightly. Be aware of your body and notice unexplained changes. Tell your doctor and make sure to get regular checkups.
